How to celebrate Geek Pride Day

Geek pride day originated in Spain in 2006. The main idea behind it is to celebrate Geek culture and unleash the geek inside all of us. The Geek pride day is celebrated every year on the 25th of May. Since we are geeks also, we want to celebrate it with you and share our ideas about what you can do to embrace your geekiness on this day.
How to unleash the geek inside you
Let’s start the morning with good music. We found a fly Spotify artist, that has a lot of playlist that you might like, from Best Video Games music playlist to Marvel Superheroes compilation playlist. From Elmo’s song to Deadpool rap song.

When the music is ready and hype is here we should get something to eat. Something like a real geek. You can find hundreds of recipes that were inspired by comics, movies, books, TV shows. My favorite ones are Gluttonous Geek that posts recipes on her blog, and well known The Geeky Chef that has released even 3 cookbooks. So if you are ready to make yourself something special or maybe want to make something for your geeky friends check them out. Well, or just treat yourself ordering that delicious pizza you like and a big bottle of coke.
If you want some more action you can throw a real party with drinks and good music. And maybe even a costume party. Of course we think that Geek Pride is the Day you can wear your superhero costume not just to the party, but even to work. Embrace the superhero inside of you.
If you do not have a place to throw a party, you know what is a good idea? LASER TAG. Who doesn’t love a good game of laser tag. Bring your friends and have a blast. Or if you want to just be with yourself go to a comic book store and enjoy it. Get your favorite comic books, or just sit there and read, enjoy the nerdy atmosphere.
If you want to keep it cool and calm, then you can invite some friends and make that movie marathon you always wanted to do. Download loads of movies from Avengers to Blade Runner. Like real Geek you will probably use Torrents so I think the Geek Pride Day is the day to treat yourself and get that VPN that you always needed to torrent safely, or maybe get a bigger library of Netflix.

These are just a few things you can do to celebrate being awesome. Of course everyday should be a Geek Pride Day for us, but it is still a nice occasion to gather with fellow nerds and embrace the geekiness inside of us. We will celebrate with costumes and movie marathon, what about you?
